If you've never river cruised before, you're in for an incredible treat, as it's the most special, intimate, relaxing, and convenient way to experience small European villages. And if you've ever had the pleasure of sailing on a river cruise, you know it's addicting!
Join us in the spring of 2027 for an unforgettable 7-night journey aboard the beautiful 156-passenger AmaKristina as we sail along the enchanting Rhône River on our "Colors of Provence" itinerary. We'll embark in Lyon, the gastronomic capital of France, wending our way through gorgeous towns and villages such as Vienne, Tournon, Avignon, and finally disembarking in lovely Arles in Provence, a UNESCO heritage site famous for its well-preserved Roman ruins.
What past guests have said about this itinerary:
- "The Rhône cruise in Provence was my very favourite. Slow pace, docking at towns, great food, best excursions."
- "This itinerary is spectacular. We've done it twice. Olive oil tasting, truffle hunting in Les Baux, Lyon, is wonderful. Make sure you buy truffle butter when there!"
- "Loved Colors of Provence. Most of the time we docked right in town...you just get off the ship and walk around, unlike some of the bigger rivers. Incredibly charming and oh-so-French."

We'll travel southward down the dramatic west coast of Alaska and Canada, stopping first at awe-inspiring Hubbard Glacier, where colossal ice chunks calve into the sea, then sailing to historic Sitka, the quiet, soulful beauty of Alaskan seaports, and the state's original capital. Next, we set a course for Icy Strait Point, a jump-off point for exhilarating outdoor adventures. From there it's on to the historic town of Ketchikan with its colorful wooden storefronts built on stilts overwater stilts, salmon leaping in the creek that runs right through downtown, and the misty rainforest just behind town. Finally we'll enter Canadian waters, passing the pine-fringed islets of British Columbia and following the breathtaking Seymour Narrows down to Vancouver.
