Join our six-night boutique tour to the glorious Italian regions of Tuscany and Umbria!
Our home for the week is Villa Laura, a stunningly restored 17th century estate, just outside the walls of the enchanting Tuscan hill town of Cortona. The home famously served as the film set for the 2003 movie Under the Tuscan Sun starring Diane Lane. The estate consists of three living spaces: the main villa, farmhouse, and the limonaia, (a one-bedroom suite with private entrance), all of which have been lovingly restored with the beautiful craftsmanship of local artisans.
The villa's ten bedrooms embody comfortable elegance in every detail, each one individually designed, distinctly Italian, with no "museum vibes," just warm Italian style that hugs you back. All feature antique furniture, highest quality Egyptian cotton sheets, hand-woven fabrics from iconic textile house, Busatti, Travertine stone floors grace the ensuite bathrooms where you'll find luxurious Italian bath products, hair dryers, robes, and slippers.
With its swimming pool, Jacuzzi, billiard table, lush gardens, wine cellar brimming with options, a chapel for quiet moments, and plenty of space to gather with friends (or sneak away with a glass of wine and good book), Villa Laura provides the quintessential Tuscan backdrop for our stay, and a serene retreat after our daily excursions. We’ll enjoy delicious gourmet multi-course dinners, prepared by our private chef, Francesco. Feel free to accompany him as he harvests fresh, seasonal produce directly from the villa’s garden.
In autumn as the crowds begin to thin and the weather relaxes into a comfortable temperature, it’s the perfect time to enjoy winetasting, truffle season, and visiting beautiful Italian towns and villages. Each day we'll experience authentic Italian life on our daily excursions to see beautiful villages, meet privately with artisans, winemakers, before returning to our beautiful villa. Relax each night with a Negroni, Aperol spritz, or glass of vino in one of the the many serene outdoor spaces on this extraordinary estate, as our private chef prepares amazing dinners from scratch that will linger on your tastebuds forever.
